RJ71C 12 Pair Network Interface Block for building entrance and other special applications where the phone lines pass through the equipment, like Door Entry Systems, Intercoms, Security Systems, Apartment Entry Systems etc.
Has a Female Connector on the side. Comes with a special Shorting Plug that you put on the connector on the side of the block if you remove the equipment, which normals through the 12 telephone lines. The 13th pair on block isn't used.
